My time at Wayne Mannor was brief, but I loved it dearly. The people who live there...I've only just met them but they are familiar to me in a special way. Bruce would have probably lead a much better life had been born in another era, one without so many...flashing lights and intrusive, shallow people. And Alfred...what can I say about him. I'm not sure where to begin...
There is, a certain way that a person who is in service to another person must conduct themselves. One does not grovel, as though they are a peasant in the filthy street, but...nor should one become too familiar with one's employer. There is an invisible line that separates you from them, no matter how comforatble they might be with you. Very few people today understand this. Bruce...reminds me very much of James' Father in that respect. He is kind to Alfred, but tha does not make them more or less than what they have always been. James...I don't think James ever realised that line was there. Not even after we'd left that place.
I wonder where I'll go now? Should I go back to the Mannor? But if I did...what would they think. That I am some kind of shill looking for a place to camp? Or perhaps tht I'm interested in Bruces fortunes. No, I've got no sights set on those things. And I do not wish to burden them. I suppose I shall have to keep moving.
